PHProjekt Preview release #3

Hi all,
I'd like to start my new project now using PHProjekt 6. Because I have some time right now, I would like to set up the RC3 of PHProjekt, if it is possible to update this version to the final version when it will be released.
Can someone tell me please, that this is possible?

Hi Matthias, thanks for test P6.

Yes, you should not have problems later.
The database is almost stable, and the code too.

For the release will be some additions, but you will can use the same data just updating your files.

I do have second release now. Is it possible just to overwrite my files by new files from third release, but without changing config file and SQL dbase ?
Will it work ?

If you copy the new files, will work some issues, but you need to update the database and ALL will work.

If you want to keep your preview2 data, make a diff between the blank_database.sql of preview2 and the one of preview3, and run some queries for update your table.

The most important changes on the database are:
Timecard => we use now one table instead of 2
Minutes => new tables
Modules => add version field

The other changes are just some values or types of the fields.

Hi,
The mysql should get the 0 value and convert it to the next autoindex, this is not your case, so, you must change the first value to the correct number, thats is:
VALUES (1, ...) , (2, .... ), (3,.... )
instead of the 0.

Your default value for database.adapter is "Pdo_Mysql"

How do I find out what my database adapter is?

I am using PHPMyAdmin v3.2.2.1 and MySQL 5.0.81

If you have mysql, your adapter is mysql, but with PDO, that is other library.

Check your php.ini file, and looking for the pdo_mysql extension.

you must have both, mysql AND pdo_mysql.

Hi,
As we know, there is a bug with the cookies and the users.
The cookie remember the last page, and then try to return to it on a new login.

If you login with admin, and go to the Admin section. and then login with a user, the cookie will try to return the admin section.
Since the user don't have access to it, you see the login page again.

We are working for fix that, and allow various users in the same machine, meanwhile, please delete the cookie for solve it now.

Once past that I have a problem with the upgrade from version 5.2, follow all the steps in the migration, but it returns the following data and performs a clean installation without data migration:

Seams like your 5.2 version don't have the 'is_deleted' column in the database, maybe because this column was added in the 5.3 version or in a 5.2 patch.

Anyway, we will take care of that, meanwhile, you can change the lines in htdocs/Setup/Migration.php where is used:

We are already working with phprojekt6, but sessions are giving us many problems. When a non-admin user access your session after it expires, he did not appear in the projects and get the following error:

The temporary solution we have found is to sign out, log in as admin, log off and log back in as a user. This works, so I point the error here, hopes it is usefull for your development on this good project.

I need to tell you, the Preview 3 has a bug in the Tree, that save the current tree for all the users.
That is bad, since if you login with admin user as the first time, then all the other users will see "your" tree (where you can see all the projects) and no his own tree (with limited access).

Currently there are 2 login:
by web => the normal
or by json => you can use the function jsonLoginAction for login with ldap.

Just make a request like index.php/Default/Login/jsonLogin/username/xx/password/xx

and the core will return you a json message like

or
{}&&({"status":{"error", "message":"error message"}}

we are using Phprojekt for a long time and we really need the possibility to connect Projects, Todos etc. with contacts - so we can see, which customer has don which project with which group-Members. Is this function allready integrated in PHP6?

Hi Joerg,

actually, the project have a field Contact, that is a select box with all the contacts created in the module.

If you need this field in other modules, just go to Administration => select the module => open the dialog => drag a select => choose the select type "Contacts" => save.

Now you can select only one contact per item, we don't implement yet something like a selector (like p5).

I have been use version 5.3 and it work properly. Now, install ver. 6 on same server and it successfully installed. The PHProjekt 6 working properly in server but I can't login using other computer.

make sure that the config.php have the correct webpath defined, i mean, if you put "localhost" there, will be visible only for these machine.

How is your config.php file?

It's easy, you can also just use 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost. On some machines there are problems if you use localhost as a hostname.

We are focus first to make a first stable version of P6, then the plan is to crate all the addons that P5 have.

Protokoll is the current Minutes module, is already done.
The others, are not done yet, but as i say, the plan is do it all.

The format will be not a "addon interface", instead of that we have a "module interface", so each folder is a module, and you can easy add/delete folders and module.

The current format is better than the addons on P5.

I tried to install phprojekt 6 on a strato server. I set the parameters for the database in the .ini file and copied the blank database into the existing database at strato. That worked fine. But when I point my browser to /htdocs/ I get:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /mnt/web2/11/72/51467272/htdocs/phprojekt/htdocs/index.php on line 28

What did I do wrong? Version 5 was so easy to install...

I am trying to install Phprojekt 6. I have modified the php.ini file:

extension=pdo_mysql

and I still receive the following error:

Your PHP does not meet the requirements needed for P6.
- The 'pdo' extension must be enabled.
- You need one of these PDO extensions: pdo_mysql, pdo_pgsql or pdo_sqlite

Can anyone please help? Does anyone have a copy of a correct php.ini file?

I tested the Preview Release #2 and everything works fine. Now I switched to to the Preview Release #3 (Erased all Files and database and setup a hole new installation). But I can't insert working times. There is only the form for project times. Did I anything wrong or do I have to activate the working time module?
